Nēv Schulman, the host of MTV's popular reality show "Catfish," has shared that he is recovering after breaking his neck in a bicycle accident that occurred on Monday.
Schulman's Announcement
On Saturday, Schulman posted a photo of himself in a hospital bed to his Instagram account, along with a lengthy caption detailing the incident. He expressed gratitude for being alive and thanked the medical team that cared for him.
"I'm so lucky to be here," Schulman wrote. "I broke my C2 vertebrae and had to have surgery to fuse my neck. The doctors said it could have been a lot worse, and I'm so grateful that I'm still here."
Accident Details
According to Schulman, he was riding his bike when he hit a pothole and was thrown over the handlebars. He landed on his head and neck, resulting in the serious injury.
Schulman underwent surgery to fuse his C2 vertebrae, which is located in the upper part of the neck. The surgery was reportedly successful, and Schulman is expected to make a full recovery.

Following Schulman's announcement, fans and fellow celebrities expressed their well wishes and support. Many shared their joy that he was recovering and sent him prayers for a speedy recovery.
