Police Investigate Vandalism

Spanish Authorities Launch Probe

Spanish authorities are investigating a man who poured water over a 6,000-year-old cave painting, reportedly in an attempt to create a more favorable lighting condition for taking a photograph.

The incident occurred at the Cueva de Ardales, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in southern Spain. The cave is home to a series of prehistoric paintings, including the one that was vandalized.

The painting, which depicts a group of horses, is estimated to be around 6,000 years old. It is considered to be one of the most important examples of cave art in Spain.

Police are currently searching for the vandal, who is believed to be a Spanish man in his 30s. He is facing charges of vandalism and damage to cultural heritage.
