Oilers Look to Take Series Lead in Game 2
The Edmonton Oilers took the lead in their second-round series against the Vancouver Canucks on Friday night, thanks to a late goal by Evan Bouchard. With just over six minutes remaining in the third period, Bouchard scored the game-winning goal to give the Oilers a 3-2 victory.
The Oilers had a strong start to the game, taking a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. However, the Canucks battled back in the third period, scoring two goals to tie the game. Dakota Joshua had a goal and two assists for the Canucks, while Andrei Kuzmenko also scored.
The Oilers will have a chance to take a 2-0 lead in the series when they host the Canucks in Game 2 on Sunday night. The Canucks will need to find a way to generate more offense if they want to tie the series up.
